Boquete is full of entertainment ranging from nature hikes to shopping in the small village. The best thing to do to start your acclamation to Boquete, Panama is to take a walking tour of downtown Boquete. Wander in and out of various shops where you’ll find loads of local treasures like art, food, and clothing. You’re sure to come away with a great souvenir while walking around the village of Boquete, Panama. Brush up on your Spanish too by conversing with the locals all over the quaint town. The local groceries can be found at the Romero Supermercado behind the central park where you can check out the locally produced products such as coffee, vegetables, fish, rum, and chicken. Here you can also pick up your favorite imported American products, but for a price. Near the park there’s an indoor farmer’s market where you can purchase produce for a cheap price. All this food may be making you hungry, so visit a place like the Boquete Bistro, the Panamaonte Inn or the Delicias Peru for some great dining options.


The next best thing to do to get acquainted with Boquete is to take a driving tour of the area. You’ll find three main loops to explore throughout Boquete, Panama. The Volcancito begins at a large visitor center and travels around the base of the volcano before bringing you back into town on the El Salto Road. On the second loop, you’ll pass the Panamonte Inn, the Palo Alto coffee-growing area, and then back to central Boquete. Before you get back into town, you must check out the Mi Jardin Gardens right there before you re-enter town. On the third loop you will go across the bridge at the fairgrounds near the park, up into the Jaramillo area, then back to civilization near the Los Establos Inn at the end of your journey.


One great thing about Boquete is all the wonderful activities you can do through your hotel and the helpful ideas the people at the hotel can give you. Some of the great hotels include the Panamonte Inn, the Establos Inn, and Boquete Garden Inn. Many hotels can help you get going on a hike up the volcano where you can get close to some of the world’s most spectacular volcanoes. Tour the coffee plantations to get a sense of both the history of Boquete and the present lifestyle of the coffee industry. There are exciting things to do in the area for those of you who like the adrenaline rush. You can go white-water rafting, or hike through the mountains. There are many nature and canopy tours all over the area, as well as ATV and horseback riding tours.
